Catherine was educated at Pontefract High School and qualified as a dental surgeon from Birmingham Dental School in 1979.

She works two days a week at Oakleigh Dental Practice enjoying both family dentistry and cosmetic work and for two days a week she is employed by the Specialised Dental Service in the Community.

Catherine is married with two teenage children. Her outside interests include computer studies, keep fit and walking her two boxer dogs.
